Maintenance services▾At your door, from $59
Essential▾$59
The safety service. We check and tune the five points that decide whether a bike is safe to ride.
What we do: set the brakes so the levers bite where they should, index the gears so the chain sits cleanly on every sprocket, check tire pressure and look over the tires for cuts and wear, check and tighten the headset so there is no play in the steering, and set the saddle height and angle for you.
Best for: a bike that has been parked for a few weeks or months, a second hand bike you have just bought, or a regular safety check if you ride often.
Time: around 30 minutes at your address.
Advanced▾$89
Everything in the Essential service, plus a proper clean of the drivetrain.
What we add: the chain, cassette, chainring and derailleurs are degreased, cleaned and relubricated. A dirty drivetrain is what makes shifting feel vague and noisy, and it wears the chain and cassette faster, so this is the service that saves you money later.
Best for: a bike where the chain or cassette is visibly dirty, rusty or gritty, or where shifting has gone rough.
Time: around 45 minutes at your address.
Premium▾$129
Everything in the Advanced service, plus a full wash.
What we add: the frame, fork and wheels, the handlebar, the saddle and the brakes, disk or rim, are washed and cleaned. The bike leaves running properly and looking close to new.
Best for: a bike that has been neglected for a long time and needs a second life, or a bike you want back in proper condition before a trip or before selling it.
Time: around 90 minutes at your address.
Not included at your door: hubs and bottom brackets. Those are bearing assemblies and need a workshop bench, so they sit under Workshop services below.
Repairs▾Parts included
A repair fixes one specific thing: a punctured tube, a snapped cable, worn brake pads. Repairs are done during a service, not on their own, and the part is included in the price shown. Every part comes from an official distributor and carries the manufacturer warranty. We confirm the price with you before the mechanic starts.
Wheels and tires▾
Inner tube replacement▾$29
We take the wheel off, remove the punctured tube, check the inside of the tire for whatever caused the puncture so it does not happen again, fit a new tube and reinflate to the right pressure.
Included: the new inner tube.
When you book: please give us the tire size. It is printed on the side of the tire, something like 700x25c or 26x1.95.
Inner tube replacement, cargo or dutch bike▾$39
The same job on a cargo bike or a dutch bike. These take longer because the wheel often sits behind a chain case, a hub gear or a rack, so there is more to remove and refit.
Included: the new inner tube.
When you book: please give us the tire size, printed on the side of the tire.
Tire replacement▾from $50
We replace a tire that is worn down, cracked or cut. A tire with a bald centre strip or visible threads will keep puncturing, so replacing it is what actually solves the problem.
Included: the new tire. The price starts at $50 and depends on the tire you need.

Tire and inner tube replacement▾from $60
Tire and tube replaced together, which is the sensible option when the tire is worn out and the tube has gone as well. Doing both at once saves you a second callout.

Tire replacement, cargo or dutch bike▾from $65
Tire replacement on a cargo bike or a dutch bike, where the wheel takes longer to remove and refit.

Wheel truing▾$40
A wheel stops running straight when spokes lose tension, usually after a hard kerb or a pothole. You notice it as a wobble, or the rim brushing the brake pad once every turn.
What we do: we bring the loose spokes back to the right tension so the rim runs true again, side to side and up and down.
If a spoke is broken rather than loose, we will tell you before we start, because that needs a replacement spoke.
Gears and drivetrain▾
Shifter cable and housing replacement▾$29
The cable and its outer housing connect the shifters on your handlebar to the derailleurs. Over time the cable stretches and the housing fills with grit, and gear changes go slow, noisy or start skipping.
What we do: both the cable and the housing are replaced together, then the gears are re-indexed so every shift lands cleanly.
Included: the new cable and housing.
Shifter cable and housing, internal routing▾$40
The same job on a frame where the cables run inside the tubes rather than along the outside. It costs more because the new cable has to be threaded through the frame, which takes considerably longer.
Included: the new cable and housing.
Chain replacement, 1 to 8 speed▾from $40
Chains stretch as they wear. A stretched chain slips under load, shifts badly and starts chewing into the cassette and chainring, which are far more expensive to replace than the chain.
What we do: the old chain comes off, a new one is sized to your bike and fitted through the derailleurs, then lubricated and checked through every gear.
Included: the new chain, for a 1 to 8 speed drivetrain.
Chain replacement, 9 speed▾from $50
The old chain comes off, a new 9 speed chain is sized to your bike and fitted through the derailleurs, then lubricated and checked through every gear.
Included: the new chain. Narrower chains cost more, which is why the price rises with the number of speeds.
Chain replacement, 10 speed▾from $60
The old chain comes off, a new 10 speed chain is sized to your bike and fitted through the derailleurs, then lubricated and checked through every gear.
Included: the new chain.
Chain replacement, 11 speed▾from $70
The old chain comes off, a new 11 speed chain is sized to your bike and fitted through the derailleurs, then lubricated and checked through every gear.
Included: the new chain.
Front derailleur replacement▾from $60
The front derailleur moves the chain between the chainrings. When it is bent or worn, the chain drops off the rings or refuses to move across.
What we do: the old unit is removed, a new one is fitted, aligned to the chainrings and indexed so the chain moves across cleanly and stays on.
Included: the new front derailleur.
Rear derailleur replacement▾from $70
The rear derailleur moves the chain across the cassette and keeps it under tension. A bent or worn one causes skipping, noise in certain gears, or a chain that will not reach the largest or smallest sprocket.
What we do: the old unit is removed, a new one is fitted, the limit screws are set and the gears are indexed across the full range.
Included: the new rear derailleur.
Shifter replacement▾from $50
The shifters sit on your handlebar and are what you press or twist to change gear. When the internals wear or break, the shifter stops clicking properly or will not hold a gear.
What we do: the faulty shifter is removed, a new one is fitted and cabled, and the gears are indexed again.
Included: the new shifter.
Brakes▾
Brake pads, rim brakes▾from $26
Pads wear down against the rim and eventually stop gripping. If you are pulling the lever most of the way to the bar, or hearing metal, the pads are finished.
What we do: front, rear or both. Old pads off, new pads on, aligned to the braking surface and the cable tension reset so the lever bites where it should.
Included: a new pair of pads.
Brake pads, disk brakes▾from $35
Disk pads are small and wear out quietly. Once the friction material is gone you are braking metal on metal, which ruins the rotor as well.
What we do: front, rear or both. Old pads out, new pads in, pistons reset and the caliper aligned so the rotor runs clean without rubbing.
Included: a new pair of pads.
Brake cable and housing replacement▾$29
The cable and its outer housing connect the brake levers on your handlebar to the calipers. Cables rust and fray, housings fill with grit, and the brake goes spongy or sticky.
What we do: cable and housing are replaced together and the brake is set up again from scratch.

Brake cable and housing, internal routing▾$35
The same job on a frame where the cables run inside the tubes. It takes longer because the new cable has to be threaded through the frame.

Disk brake cleaning▾$30
Disk brakes squeal and lose bite when oil, road grime or chain lube reaches the pads and rotors. Very often the brake is not worn out, it is contaminated.
What we do: pads and rotors are removed, cleaned and refitted, and the caliper is realigned so braking is quiet and precise again.
If the pads are contaminated beyond saving we will tell you, because then they need replacing rather than cleaning.
Brake bleeding▾$45
For hydraulic brakes only. When air gets into the hoses, the lever feels soft and travels too far before the brake bites.
What we do: the old fluid is purged out of the system and replaced with fresh fluid, and the lever is tested until it comes up firm.
Price is per brake, front or rear.
Brake lever replacement▾from $35
The lever is what you pull to brake. Levers get bent or snapped in a fall, and a cracked one can fail when you need it most.
What we do: the damaged lever is removed, a new one is fitted and positioned to your hands, and the brake is cabled and set up again.
Included: the new lever.
Rotor replacement▾from $45
The rotor is the metal disc your pads squeeze. It wears thin over time, and it can be bent in transport or contaminated with oil that will not clean off.
What we do: the old rotor comes off, a new one is fitted and trued, and the caliper is aligned so there is no rub.
Included: the new rotor.
Other jobs▾
Bike assembly▾$100
For a new bike that arrived in a box, or one you have had shipped. A bike out of the box is not a bike that is ready to ride.
What we do: the mechanical side first, brakes and derailleurs assembled, adjusted and tested, wheels fitted and trued, everything torqued. Then the ergonomic side, saddle height, saddle angle and handlebar position set for you, so the bike fits the person riding it.
Done at your address, so you do not have to carry a boxed bike anywhere.
Bike packing▾$100
For flying with your bike or shipping it. We dismantle it and pack it so nothing rubs, bends or snaps in transit.
What we do: pedals, wheels, handlebar and where needed the derailleur are removed, the frame and each part are protected, and everything is packed into your box or case.
Not included: the box or case itself.
Pedals replacement▾$35
Worn pedals develop play, creak, or lose their grip surface. Seized ones can be difficult to remove without the right tools.
What we do: the old pedals come off, the threads are cleaned and greased so the new ones do not seize, and a new pair goes on.
Included: the new pair of pedals.
Kickstand installation▾$35
A kickstand lets the bike stand on its own instead of leaning against something, which is how most scratched frames happen.
What we do: we fit the stand at the right mounting point for your frame and set the length so the bike sits stable.
Included: the kickstand.
Bar tape replacement▾$50
For drop handlebars. Bar tape hardens, unravels and gets slick with sweat, and on a road bike your hands are on it the whole ride.
What we do: the old tape is stripped off, the bar is cleaned, and new tape is wrapped and finished at the ends.
Included: the new bar tape.
Handlebar grip replacement▾from $30
For flat handlebars. Grips go hard, tear, or start spinning on the bar, which is unpleasant and unsafe.
What we do: the old grips are removed, the bar is cleaned, and new grips are fitted and secured.
Included: the new pair of grips.
Workshop services▾Pickup and delivery
Bike Hero Pro, for work that needs a workshop bench rather than a doorstep. We collect the bike from your address, work on it at the workshop and bring it back, usually in 4 to 5 working days. Collection and return are included in both prices.
Half Service▾$240
A deep clean and a full setup, done on the bench with the bike stripped further than is possible at your door.
What we do: the drivetrain is removed and ultrasonically cleaned, then relubricated and reassembled. The frame, fork and wheels are deep cleaned. Rust is treated or removed where we find it. Hydraulic brakes are bled, or cables replaced, where required. Electronic groupset firmware is checked or updated where applicable. Every bolt is torque checked. The chain is waxed, gloss frames get a ceramic coating, and the bike goes through a final quality control and safety inspection before it comes back to you.
Best for: a bike that still runs but has lost its edge, and anything that cannot be done properly at a doorstep.
Turnaround: usually 4 to 5 working days, collection and return included.
Full Strip-Down▾$350
Everything in the Half Service, and the bike is taken completely apart and rebuilt.
What we add: a complete strip-down and rebuild of the bicycle. The bearing assemblies are removed, inspected, cleaned and serviced. Wheel spoke tension is checked and the wheels trued where required.
Best for: a bike that has done serious mileage, one that has been sitting unused for years, or anything feeling rough or notchy in the hubs, headset or bottom bracket. These are the bearing jobs we never do at a doorstep.
Turnaround: usually 4 to 5 working days, collection and return included.
