Changi is coastal riding, more exposed than East Coast and with more open sand. Salt air attacks every steel part on the bike. Chain, cassette, cables, brake hardware, and the bearings inside hubs and bottom brackets. That happens whether you rinse the bike afterwards or not.
Sand is the other half. In a chain it is abrasive paste, on a rim it eats pads, in a hub it destroys bearings silently. And Changi is the far end of most people's ride, so a seizure out here is a long way from home.

Any additional ad hoc repair can be added on the day, quoted before the mechanic starts. We check and tighten the headset, but we do not service bearings at your door. The bottom bracket, headset and hubs need a workshop bench, which is what Bike Hero Pro is for.
A bottom bracket with play, a notchy headset, a buckled wheel or a bike that has not been touched in two years does not get fixed properly at your door. We collect it from you, strip it down at our workshop and return it in 4 to 5 working days.
